What to choose? We're here to help.

Carpeting? Ceramics? Hardwood? Laminate? Vinyl? Or maybe an area rug? Our Showrooms transform “Decisions, decisions, decisions” to “Options, options, options.” We’ll help you choose the flooring that best fits your client's lifestyle and installation requirements.

Carpet

When your clients are thinking “soft, warm and luxurious,” carpet offers a broad price range and selection to meet most decorating styles and budgets. Fibers vary in make (nylon, olefin, polyester or wool) and corresponding degrees of wear and stain resistance, resilience and cleanability. And if that’s not enough, carpeting formats include saxony, plush, texture, cut-loop, level loop, multi-level loop and frieze.

Comparing Carpet Fibers
Fiber Type Wear Resistance Stain Resistance Resiliece Cleanability Comments
wool very good low unless treated excellent good The standard by which other fibers are judged; low resistance to static unless treated; expensive
nylon excellent most are treated to enhance stain resistance very good very good The most popular fiber; has good static control; suitable for almost any application
polypropylene olefin very good excellent inherent stain resistance low responds well The second most popular fiber; best suited to loop pile constructions or high, very dense, cut piles
polyster very good built-in-stain resistance to certain types of acid dyes fair good Better suited to low traffic areas such as bedrooms and living rooms

Laminate

High-performance laminate flooring possesses the remarkable ability to simulate wood or tile, is extremely durable and easy to clean with either a damp cloth or vacuum. Laminate flooring also deserves praise for what it doesn’t do: scuff, wear-through, burn, get scratched by pets, indent from normal family wear and lose color. This is a solid choice for moisture and family-prone areas as well as design appeal.

Ceramic, stone, and glass

Nature, elegance and easy maintenance meet indestructibility in this grouping. With glazed or unglazed ceramic tiles and stone that varies in texture and color, your clients are afforded a distinctive look that is suitable for moisture-prone and heavy-traffic areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, foyers, laundry rooms.

Vinyl

Experiencing a fashionable resurgence, vinyl is easy to maintain and durable for widespread applications throughout clients’ homes.

Sheet vinyl—available in 6 foot and 12 foot widths and in any length
Tile squares—rich, luxurious and perfect for the finest interiors
Colors and styles—from warm, subtle colors to bold brights and in an extensive variety of color combos, patterns, designs and textures
Performance—great for busy areas and years of carefree beauty, vinyl is available in good, better and best categories to meet your budget

Hardwood

Rich, elegant and all natural, create a warm, inviting look with either solid or engineered wood.

Solid, the most popular choice, consists of one-piece boards that are typically nailed to a subfloor and come unfinished, allowing you to apply a variety of finishes and colors to suit your client’s tastes.

Engineered wood consists of two or more layers of wood laminated together—the top a veneer and the lower layer a softwood backing. Most engineered wood floors are prefinished and are glued rather than nailed down. Or, they can be installed as floating floors wherein the panel edges are glued together rather than attached directly to the subfloor. It can also be glued directly to concrete making it more suitable for below grade applications.

Either option is available in three formats: wood strip, wider width planks or parquet squares.
